Samsung Galaxy A60 specs leak: Snapdragon 675, massive display, triple camera

The Samsung Galaxy A30 & A50

The Galaxy A10, Galaxy A30, and Galaxy A50 recently kicked off an update to Samsung’s mid-range lineup. Eventually, the series will include other devices such as the Galaxy A40 and Galaxy A90. And from the look of things, another new model could be just around the corner.

Dubbed the Galaxy A60, the mid-range offering is set to follow in the Galaxy A50’s footsteps by adopting a Super AMOLED Infinity-U display complete with an in-screen fingerprint scanner. This time around, though, the panel could boast a massive 6.7-inch diagonal.

In order to keep costs down, the rear of the smartphone is set to be carved out of glossy plastic, or ‘Glasstic,’ as Samsung likes to call it. But fortunately for consumers, the South Korean brand hasn’t cut any corners when it comes to the cameras.

Over on the rear, the smartphone apparently includes a 32-megapixel primary sensor. This is seemingly paired with a 5-megapixel dedicated depth sensor and an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera. For those selfie fans out there, the leaked spec sheet also lists a 32-megapixel front-facing snapper.

Completing the Galaxy A60’s setup will be the powerful Snapdragon 675 paired with 128GB of internal storage and the choice of 6GB or 8GB of RAM. Android 9 Pie paired with One UI is to be expected too, as is a large 4,500mAh battery.

Currently, it’s unclear how Samsung will choose to price the Galaxy A60 once it’s released. But today’s leak does point towards a launch sometime next month. Once this happens, initial availability could be limited to India before expanding to Europe and elsewhere.
